Sandpiper Golf Course

Heralded as one of British Columbia’s best resort courses, renowned for its golf and fishing adventure packages, and, consecutively, voted by the province as the #1 golf course in the Fraser Valley, Sandpiper is situated along the turquoise waters of the Harrison River, nestled in centuries-old forest of 180 ft. Douglas Firs and surrounded by the West Coast’s idyllic landscape,

Open 364 days a year, this par 72 course runs 6,500 yards from the back tees, and is gently sloped featuring four sets of tees for all playing abilities.

Canadian course designer, Russ Olsen, took advantage of the spectacular water and mountain vistas when designing the course. While there are a number of outstanding holes, Sandpiper’s  signature hole is the 486-yard, par 5 fifteenth where the footprint of the legendary Sasquatch the green.

Sandpiper’s manicured layout and easy walkability combines brilliantly with the area’s rugged beauty…creating an unforgettable golfing experience.

Kilby Historic Site

kilby

Kilby Historic Site is the perfect place for a trip down memory lane.  Kilby General Store is all that remains of the original town of Harrison Mills, a once bustling community.  The store was the hub of the town, serving as the general supply store, post office, gas station, hotel and meeting place.  The people of Chilliwack would take the ferry to Harrison Mills and then the train into Vancouver.  With saw mills and the train station close by, the store catered to everyone from locals to vacationers.

Today, Kilby General Store is a world-class 1920s living historical site, complete with costumed interpreters. This 5-acre BC Heritage attraction includes a 1906 General Store Museum, Manchester House Hotel & Post Office, as well as friendly farm animals and an orchard playground. Site facilities include a quaint home-style restaurant, unique country gift shop and a 22-site campground on the scenic Harrison Bay.

The Kilby Museum, Café and Gift Shop are now open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm until May 10 when we open Thursday to Monday.
